Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Climate Mechanics ("Climate Mechanics," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and provides heating, cooling, and indoor air quality services in South Jersey. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using this website, contacting us, or requesting service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Identifiers & contact data you provide — name, phone number, email, service/billing address, and details about your HVAC system or request — when you call, submit a form, request an estimate, schedule service, or apply for a job.
- Transaction & service records — appointments, work performed, equipment installed, warranties, and payment status (we do not store full card numbers; payments are handled by our payment processor).
- Technical & usage data collected automatically — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and similar analytics data, via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
- Communications — messages and call recordings or notes when you contact us.
Sources: directly from you; automatically from your device as you use the site; and from service providers who help us operate (scheduling/CRM, analytics, advertising, and review platforms).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, provide, service, and follow up on heating and cooling work
- To prepare estimates, invoices, warranties, and maintenance reminders
- To respond to questions, service requests, reviews, and job applications
- To send appointment, transactional, and (with consent) marketing messages
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and communications
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
3. How We Share Information
We share information only with trusted service providers who perform functions on our behalf (for example, scheduling/CRM, hosting, analytics, advertising, payment processing, and review requests), and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect our rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Text Messages
Climate Mechanics does not send or receive text (SMS) messages. Our main number, (856) 735-5320, is a landline — please call or email [email protected] to reach us.
5. Cookies, Tracking & Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure site performance, and (where applicable) support advertising. You can change your choices at any time in our cookie preferences (see Section 8) or control and disable cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for the associated browser or device.
6. Analytics, Call Tracking & Spam Protection Tools
These are the third-party tools this website uses:
- Google Tag Manager — loads and manages the tools below. It does not itself collect personal information.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how visitors use the site (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and how you arrived).
- WhatConverts — call and form tracking. It shows a tracking phone number that forwards to our office, and records which page or ad led to your call or form submission (it may record the number you call from, call time and length, and the form details you send).
- Cortex — website content optimization that measures how visitors interact with pages.
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from spam and abuse. It collects device and interaction data under Google's own privacy policy and terms.
These providers may set cookies and collect usage data subject to their own privacy policies. You can turn analytics and advertising cookies off at any time in your privacy choices.
7. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA & State Laws)
Depending on your state of residence (including California under the CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others), you may have the right to:
- Know/access the personal information we have collected about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights
To exercise a right, contact us at (856) 735-5320 or [email protected] with your request and the state you reside in. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. To opt out of sale/sharing, see Your Privacy Choices (Section 8).
8. Your Privacy Choices
Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and to residents of other U.S. states with similar laws.
Categories of personal information we collect (see Section 1):
- Identifiers — name, phone number, email, and service address you send us
- Internet or network activity — pages viewed, device and browser type, and how you reached the site, collected by Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager)
- Call and form details — the number you call from, call time and length, and the page or ad that led to your call or form, collected by WhatConverts call tracking
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address by these analytics tools
Sharing disclosure. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the analytics and call-tracking tools named in Section 6 receive information about your use of this site, and under the CPRA that may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising or as a "sale." We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Your rights. You have the right to:
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different quality of service
How to opt out (no account needed):
- On this site: open your cookie preferences and turn off Advertising cookies (and Analytics cookies if you wish). Your choice is saved in this browser.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing for that browser and keep advertising cookies off automatically — no click needed.
- Contact us: call (856) 735-5320 or email [email protected] and tell us you want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or to make a know, delete, or correct request.
We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. Because cookie choices are stored per browser, please set them on each browser and device you use.

This website never asks for, collects, or stores credit card or bank account numbers.
